Why we build sites on Next.js, not Tilda

Speed, flexibility and ownership — three reasons that outweigh «whip up fast».

Tilda solves 80% of the work in 20% of the time — and it really does. If you need a landing for a month to test a hypothesis, just use it.

But the moment a project gets long — and most of our clients think long from day one — Tilda becomes a ceiling:

  • Templated visuals that brand the product as «one of».
  • No real way to do complex interactive forms, calculators or embedded products.
  • SEO and Core Web Vitals — «decent», not «great».
  • Total cost of ownership grows faster than it looks.

Next.js gives us three things:

  1. Speed. SSR, ISR, edge — real Lighthouse 95+ out of the box.
  2. Flexibility. Any UI, any integration, any data source.
  3. Ownership. The code belongs to the client, not the platform.

And the long game is total cost of ownership. Tilda charges forever. Next.js — built once, maintained by changes.
